Cool photos, but neither of those is a pine (like the label says). I think the top is a crytomeria and the bottom is maybe a bald cypress.
Yes, the bottom is very likely a baldy, growing so close to the water like that. Just getting ready to lose it's leaves for the winter!!
The textures attract me in these two photos. Nice.
I love the "nuts" on the top tree. Every time I go to Duke Garden I take pictures of those trees. The contrast of colors and texture just get to me. I like it more when the "nuts" are brown but even when green they're enticing.
