Misty Morning

I couldn't sleep so I was up to take pictures in the pre-dawn light. It was pretty this morning, I think it was Monday, but the next day was even prettier. More on that later...

Misty Stump

I took this picture while kayaking early one morning in SC. It was late October and the temperatures had just turned cold. The change in weather helped cause a great deal of mist that even endured a while after the sun came up.

It's a crane in the mist but not of the bird type. This fellow is quite tall and looms over the ER area of the UNC Hospital. I took the picture a few weeks ago when I was wondering about taking pictures of the snow. You can see a little of the snow on the ground and on the roofs of the buildings in the background.
