I have a cardinal family living in a forsythia bush off our deck and I have been trying to get a photo of them for 2 years. They never sit still long enough for me to get the camera. Your guy is gorgeous!

Was the wife nearby? Cardinals mate for life and their spouse is typically close by watching while the other dines.
