day lilies
The picture above was taken near a cafeteria I sometimes go to at work. There's a small field with these across the road which I think spread from these here which were deliberately planted around this tree....and naturally the picture below is a close up of one of the blooms. I love day lilies. They're so pretty--and they grow wild in this area.

The day lily, my favourite flower and yet the saddest when you think of that magnificent flower which blooms for only 1 day.
