a foggy morning

It was a foggy morning, just above freezing, when I took this picture while kayaking in SC. There was still some autumn colors on the trees though veiled by the fog. Winter is nearly here.

sunrise in NC

I took this picture last week. I woke up an hour early and got this picture just before sunrise. I took it from my rear deck looking towards the eastern corner of my backyard.

I took this picture yesterday in a park between Apex and Cary in NC. It was early in the morning on an overcast day when I set out on the hike. This picture was taken on the way back to my car. I liked how much texture these two small trees had.
