ants and a treat

torn between two walls

This ivy was noted last week growing between two restaurants. One had to stop and wonder how so much lush greenery managed to almost exclusively stay only on one side of this quite narrow alley. Less than 3 feet separated the two buildings. I was carrying some left-overs so I didn't investigate further but I was curious.

Along the Blue Ridge Highway

I found these cute little purple blooms at a parking spot on the Blue Ridge Highway. The picture was taken with my new Olympus Stylus 750 camera. It's super macro setting lets you get within one inch of the subject. Amazing.
